A collection of 16 stories from Singaporean food entrepreneurs around the globe, this book blends long-form writing with evocative photography to explore how food becomes memory, culture, and connection. It documents the people keeping Singapore’s flavours alive abroad — their struggles, triumphs, and the communities they’ve built along the way.
Out of focus: Untold stories of our homeless neighbors
An audio-visual exhibition with the New York City Rescue Mission
Featuring portraits and audio from nine homeless guests, Out of Focus let audiences hear firsthand stories from residents of the New York City Rescue Mission. The show took place at New York University’s Lafayette Hall, a dormitory adjacent to the Rescue Mission.
Feature film: Parachute
Runtime: 64 minutes
A self-directed production written and filmed entirely during a 14-day quarantine. Parachute (2020) traces traces the personal journey of Kho as he contended three simultaneous conditions - job loss, relocation, and the global pandemic.

A Love Letter to Grandma is a short film by Aaron Kho made in 2020. He documents his grandmother’s ailing health and personal history during one of his visits to her hometown. Despite her old age, she still believes that she is independent and rejects the care of her family members. This film won 3rd prize for the Enabling Asia 2020 competition.
